Hebrews devotional's: May 27 2010

Hebrews 1:5 "For to which of the angels did God ever say, 'You are my son, today I have begotten you'? Or again, 'I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son'?"

This verse assures of us Jesus' christ authority over human, angels, and all of humanity. Paul uses these examples to explain that Jesus is above the angels because Jesus took on the role of being the son when he came down to earth and willingly became the sacrafice for our sins. Where as God the father, took on the role of Jesus' father and therefore thought of as a holy father to his chosen children as well. We are God's children because God's only child died for us.
