Hebrews devotionals: May 29 2010

Hebrews 1:7 "Of the angels he says, 'He makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire.'"

Too oftenly, angels are thought of as being God's most holy creation and therfore are very highly thought of. But this verse is contradicting that belief and says that angels are God's, in a sense, servants. He tells them to do something, and they do it, he tells them to go somewhere, and they go. Wind is something God controls just as he controls the angels, as is every spark of a flame of fire. Angels are God's creation, but they are not the most loved creation.
