Hebrews 2:10 "For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering."
All things were made through Jesus and by Jesus and without him, nothing would have been made. By suffering on the cross the separation from God and God's wrath, Jesus took upon himself the punishment that all of us deserve, and by doing so, he brought many sons to glory. The question is not why didn't God save everyone, the question is why did God save anyone?

Hebrews 2:9 "But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone."
Jesus was made lower than the angels on the cross and the reason he was put on the cross is because it was planned out that he was to be crucified by man for the sins of man, and rise again on the third day as a representation of his and our salvation through faith in him, by grace. Jesus tasted death for our sins and that is unforgettable.

Hebrews 2:8 "putting everything in subjection under his feet.' Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him."
Under Christ, all things are controlled. Jesus, although we do not realize it, has complete soveriegn control over everything, even though at many times it seems like we have the free will to make a choice of certain things, we in fact, do not. This verse explains not only that God and Jesus have complete control over us, the angels, the demons, and everything, but also that we do not fully realize it.

Hebrews 2:7 "You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor."
Jesus was in fact made lower than angels at the moment when God's wrath was taken out on him on the cross. But although he was lower than angels and his perfection was temporarily obsured and fogged up because of our sins, Jesus, none the less, was taken into God's kingdom after he payed the price for our sins and is treated with praise, glory, and honor forever in God's kingdom.

Hebrews 2:6 "It has been testified somewhere, 'What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him?"
Let us compare God to ourselves......it is simply impossible to do. Why? Because God is so overwhelmingly wonderful that we cannot understand him and we are so low that the impossibility of comparing us to God is not worth trying. God however, even though we are so small and seemingly insignificant, does care about us. Why is God mindful of us? Why does he care for us? We surely do not deserve the care we have recieved from God, and yet we have recieved it. The point is that regardless of us being unimportant, and sinful, and corrupt, God still cares for us and that is one of the biggest mysteries of them all.

Hebrews 2:5 "Now it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking."
God did not subject the angels to, or deliver to them salvation. God however, did show his great love and mercy to us by giving humans the gift of salvation if we follow and believe in him. This verse again distingueshes angels from man, but this time in terms of salvation. The "world to come" was a common Jewish expression which refered to God's purposes of salvation that were to be fulfilled in later days. The believer's and God's children will be delivered and prosper in "the world to come."

Hebrews 2:4 "while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will."
Not only did Jesus Christ perform miracles, but so did and does God the Father, just in different ways. Jesus performed miracles such as walking on water, and turning water to wine, God the Father however performed miracles such as spiritual gifts according to His perfect plan and will. Our job is discover what that gift is and use it accordingly.

The gospel was first given by Jesus to people when he came down to earth and those who heard it from Him told people about it that did not hear it from Jesus, and those people would tell more people if they were so called christians. Therefore Jesus has fulfilled his part, which was to create the gospel, and our job is to spread it to non believers.

Hebrews 2:2 "For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution,"
Every thing that the angels have ever told man in history have proved to be true and reliable, and they are the messangers of God. All of our iniquities and transgressions were paid for by Jesus Christ, He was our just "retribution." Once we realize that all the prophesies throughout the bible given by angels are true and that our sins were paid for, the more we understand God's character.

Human beings need to listen and understand what the bible teaches. They need to do their best to apply it to their lives and understand the meaning of the verses. As christians, we also need to not only listen to what the bible says and what its meaning is, but also what God is saying to you at that moment through the bible. Hebrews 1:14 "Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?"
"They" is talking about the angels and this piece of scripture tells us that not only were the angels created to serve God, but to serve God's believing children or "those who are to inherit salvation." We are clearly put above the angels in God's eyes because we are not the ones who serve them, rather, they are the ones who serve us according to God's perfect will.

Hebrews 1:13 "And to which of the angels has he ever said, 'Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet'?"
Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of the throne of God. Even though this may seem like it makes Jesus appear as less than God because God is in the throne and Jesus is at his right hand. This is not true, this is said in the bible so that Jesus might fulfill His purpose in the divine relationship of the trinity. Jesus always channels the worship to God and not to himself, although he is fully God, on earth he was humble and channeled all worship from others and himself to God the Father; Just as we should do.

Hebrews 1:12 "Like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end."
Jesus is always consistant and constant, there is no change in any part of his character at any point in time. We (humans), however, are constantly changing our minds about what we want to eat, drink, see, love, hate, endure, and our emotions are consistently inconsistent. The best news about this though, is that if God loves us once, he will always love us, regardless of the iniquities of our flesh.

Hebrews 1:11 "they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment,"
Jesus is everlasting just as the Holy Spirit and God the father are. We however, one day are going to perish from our body and die. Not only are we going to perish some day but Jesus is also everlasting because He has been here since forever and we have only been here for a certain period of time. Jesus remains forever and prior to forever, but we however, do not.

Hebrews devotionals: June 1 2010
Hebrews 1:10 "And, You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands;"
Jesus is God, and God is Jesus. We are told that Jesus created the heavens and the earth with the work of his hands at the beginning of time. We will never be able to even begin to comprehend the concept of the trinity because we never see several things that are made up to truly create one being. The trinity is fully God, and every part of the trinity (Jesus, God the father, holy spirit) is fully God. They just all serve different roles. God is incomprehendable, and this is why humans are either mesmerized by Him, or hateful of Him.
