Hebrews 2:3 "how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who hear,"
The gospel was first given by Jesus to people when he came down to earth and those who heard it from Him told people about it that did not hear it from Jesus, and those people would tell more people if they were so called christians. Therefore Jesus has fulfilled his part, which was to create the gospel, and our job is to spread it to non believers.
