Hebrews devotionals: June 5 2010

Hebrews 1:14 "Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?"

"They" is talking about the angels and this piece of scripture tells us that not only were the angels created to serve God, but to serve God's believing children or "those who are to inherit salvation." We are clearly put above the angels in God's eyes because we are not the ones who serve them, rather, they are the ones who serve us according to God's perfect will.
