Hebrews 2:5 "Now it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking."
God did not subject the angels to, or deliver to them salvation. God however, did show his great love and mercy to us by giving humans the gift of salvation if we follow and believe in him. This verse again distingueshes angels from man, but this time in terms of salvation. The "world to come" was a common Jewish expression which refered to God's purposes of salvation that were to be fulfilled in later days. The believer's and God's children will be delivered and prosper in "the world to come."
