Hebrews 2:1 "Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it."
Human beings need to listen and understand what the bible teaches. They need to do their best to apply it to their lives and understand the meaning of the verses. As christians, we also need to not only listen to what the bible says and what its meaning is, but also what God is saying to you at that moment through the bible. The best way to discover an answer to a prayer is to listen by studying God's word.
